in Tel-Aviv, Israel
Internationally recognized expert in biofeedback, neurofeedback, resilience, peak performance, addiction & behavioral medicine, Stephen Sideroff, Ph.D. will be visiting Israel from June 17-20, 2014 to present cutting edge workshops and lectures on stress management, resilience, peak performance and treating pain and other chronic illnesses. Dr. Sideroff will demonstrate how to integrate biofeedback approaches with his new model of resilience.

Dr. Sideroff is on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA’s Geffen school of medicine. He will present his work in a wide range of behavioral medicine areas including stress management, resilience, treatment of pain and chronic illnesses as well as his approach to peak performance.According to the event organizer, Yuval Oded, “Biofeedback is widely used in Israel where there are around a thousand active professionals. Applications include the use of biofeedback combined with cognitive behavioral therapy to treat somatoform and anxiety disorders as well as the use of use sEMG biofeedback for rehabilitation.” After working with the military for a decade, now retired, Yuval focuses on developing and implementing the biofeedback assisted MentalGym™ project with a different focus: sports and executive peak performance. Some of its elements were integrated into the BFE’s Military and Security suite in the project headed by Henk Kraiijenhof.
Dr. Sideroff’s workshop will include presentation of his ground breaking research as well as his newly developed model of resilience and how to work with clients in this new approach. Case presentations will be used to illuminate his approach. Here is the outline of his three day workshop:

In addition, Dr. Sideroff will be an invited speaker at the Israeli Biofeedback Society on June 17th, speaking on “A New Model of Resilience for Restoring and Maintaining Optimal Self-Regulation”. During these lectures Dr. Sideroff will present information from his newly completed book, “The Path: Mastering the Nine Pillars of Resilience and Success”. Participants will also receive Dr. Sideroff’s Resilience Assessment Booklet.
About Dr. Stephen Sideroff
Dr. Stephen Sideroff is a Clinical Psychologist and an internationally recognized expert in optimal performance, resilience, neurofeedback, addiction and alternative approaches to stress and mental health. He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA, as well as the Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Ethics. He is the former Clinical Director of the Stress Strategies program of UCLA/Santa Monica Hospital and the former Clinical Director of Moonview Treatment and Optimal Performance Center. Dr. Sideroff has published ground breaking work in neurofeedback and resilience. He has produced a number of audio learning programs including “Resilience” and “Resilient Living”. His book, “The Path: Mastering the Nine Pillars of Resilience and Success” will be available in early 2014.
